Charlie Hartley has had some exciting moments in tournament bass fishing, including leading the Bassmaster Classic after Day One, winning the Bassmaster Open points (twice), winning the Canadian Open, and lifting a Bassmaster Southern Open trophy in 2016.  

Hartley fished the Elite Series from 2006 through 2015, logging five Top 20 finishes during that time period.  The Ohio angler is looking to get back to the Elite Series in 2018, and with finishes of 27th place and 35th place in the first two Bassmaster Central Opens of the 2017 season, he is sitting in 9th place overall in the Central Open points with one tournament remaining on Grand Lake in early October.
