Continuing the trend of growth Uncle Josh has purchased Acme Tackle company to help fill a gap in their every-growing roster of brands.  The brand will be added to their current line up which includes: Kalin’s, Beaver Dam, ATOM, Bead, Bombshell, Little Stinker, and Uncle Josh MEAT nad Pork lines.

“This will be a big year from Uncle Josh,” said Kurt Kellogg, owner of Uncle Josh.  “We have had more growth in the last couple years than we ever have- and our brand has been around since 1922. “

Uncle Josh does have a  a few models of spoons in their Bead series of baits, but none of them have the huge footprint of dealers across the nation like Acme Tackle does.

“Acme has 12 models of spoons but their Kastmaster and Little Cleo lines are the flagships,” Kellogg said.  “These two styles of spoons are icons in the industry, similar to the way our own Beaver Dame Tip up , Uncle Josh Pork, and Kalin’s grubs.  It really is the perfect addition to our brand.”

Uncle Josh is one of the few tackle manufactuers that carries som a broad array ofr brands that offers fresh, salt, open and hard-water offerings for nearly any anglers in the world.

The Acme brands, much like current Uncle Josh labels, will be promoted on regional and national television and print advertising to help drive consumer demand.

“W’re really looking forward to showing the world that these time-tested lures work just as good today as that did when your grandapa casted them 50-years ago,” Kellogg said.  “But more important we plan to tap into our talendted Pro Staff to discover and teach people new ways to use them.”
