BONUS BUCKS HELPING OFFSET FUEL EXPENSE
Toyota Incentive Program Helping Weekend Anglers Cash-In

Story by Alan McGuckin

Tulsa, Oklahoma  –  Weekend bass fishing warriors are fast viewing Toyota’s Bonus Bucks contingency program as a fantastic way to alleviate the financial strain they’re feeling from rising fuel prices.

North Carolina’s Wayne Hauser recently became the first official Bonus Bucks participant to cash-in outside of the professional ranks. Hauser’s 9th place finish in a Bassmaster Weekend Series event at Lake Norman was good enough for $250 worth of Bonus Bucks.

“Bonus Bucks could essentially pay for all my entry fees if I do my part on the water. It’s a great program, and my Tundra is a great truck. I did my homework before buying this truck, and definitely feel I made the right purchase decision. When I heard about Bonus Bucks, I hurried to sign-up in an effort to offset all the expenses associated with fishing tournaments,” said Hauser, an independent investor Monday thru Friday, who loves to pitch a jig around boat docks when Saturday morning finally rolls around.

Bruce Sargent, of Alabama sees it much the same way as Hauser. “You’re not going to get paid a contingency award for towing with any other brand of truck. Plus, when you consider the quality of the Tundra, and the fact you can cover some of your expenses in the process through the Bonus Bucks program, there’s no reason not to tow with a Toyota,” said Sargent, who serves as Fund Raising Chairman for “Fishin’ 4 A Cure” when not competing in Bassmaster Weekend Series events. Sargent recently received $250 Bonus Bucks for his 5th place finish at Lay Lake.

The Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks program is fishing’s first ever national tow-vehicle based contingency program. Whether you compete as a member of the Federation Nation, Weekend Series or full-time as an Elite Series pro, anglers at all levels who are towing with a 2007 or newer Tundra or Sequoia stand to benefit. There’s no registration fee and you don’t have to win the tournament to cash-in, but you do have to sign-up by visiting www.toyotafishig.com, or calling (918) 742-6424 to speak with a Bonus Bucks representative.
