York, S.C. – BASS ZONE .com has received confirmation from Jason Quinn that he has reached an agreement with Champion Boats heading into the 2008 season. One of the most popular and recognizable anglers on the Bassmaster Elite Series, Quinn will join a Champion team that already has the reigning Bassmaster Angler of the Year, Skeet Reese, Two time Elite Series winner Mike McClelland, and Elite Series pros John Bondy and Glenn Delong II.

“I am really excited to be joining Champion Boats,” Quinn told The BASS ZONE. “Champion has a reputation for being an elegant and high performance boat; the name really says it all. I also know that Skeet’s consistent excellence over the past couple of years has been in part, a result of his belief in the reliability his Champion boats; I’m looking forward to that confidence as well.”

Quinn said that the possibility of the partnership was brought to his attention by John Lilly of Boaters Marine in Monroe, N.C., a Champion Boats dealer. “John contacted me and told me that Champion might be interested in working with me, and he was adamant about it,” said the 35-year-old pro. “Champion got a hold of me, and we were able to work out a deal; I just signed it yesterday.”

Quinn reported that he will be running a 210 Elite rigged with a Mercury 250 Pro XS in 2008, and that the boat will be wrapped with his trademarked Evan William’s Bourbon graphics. “This is going to be a great partnership, I am really looking forward to working with Champion,” he said.

Don Wood, the President of Champion Boats told The BASS ZONE that he was elated to have Quinn on board. “Jason is the type of angler that could have gotten a ride with any bass boat company,” Wood exclaimed. “We’re excited that he decided to join Champion.

He also revealed that Quinn’s decision was due in part to spending some time in a Champion with a family member. “Jason’s father owns a Champion, and he has spent quite a bit of time in that boat, he fell in love with the boat and said that it was the boat he wanted to run,” he concluded. “We’re a small company, but we’ve got a pro staff, and Jason brings another tremendous component to our winning pro team.”

On a separate note, Quinn also reported that he has reached a deal with Terminator Lures to endorse Terminator spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. He said he is looking forward to working on projects with them as well. “I love Terminator spinnerbaits and buzzbaits,” Quinn said. “I am also looking forward to being a part of the development process going forward. With Tru-Tungsten jigs, and Terminator blade baits, I am ready to go.”

Quinn told The BASS ZONE that he will be spending time at the Bassmaster Classic consumer show at Lake Hartwell in February, and that it will be a busy show. “I will be spending time in a lot of booths there, and the Classic will be my first promotional appearance for Champion and Terminator; I’m really looking forward to it.”
