St.
Louis, Mo. – The Collegiate Bass Anglers Association has named Bass Edge television host Aaron Martin as a member to the group’s advisory board.
“Aaron’s the real deal; an industry veteran, successful entrepreneur and
educator,” said Troy Heckaman, CBAA Commissioner. “We are delighted to have him onboard, and could not ask for a better fit for the advisory aboard. We look forward to Aaron’s energy and insight in what’s sure to be a long and successful relationship.”
The CBAA is a competition-based organization designed to promote sportsmanship, personal development and education. Teams representing the nation’s colleges and universities compete in about a dozen tournaments a year.
"It's not just about fishing tournaments,” Martin said. “I have seen the difference bass fishing and involvement in the outdoors makes in the lives of young people. It sure made a difference in mine. The program is a great opportunity for the personal growth of student anglers while promoting conservation and education. Just think, some kids who have the dream of becoming a professional angler might end up going to college who might not have otherwise."
The CBAA Advisory Board is composed of volunteer industry leaders, businessmen/entrepreneurs and educators. Joining Martin on the board are FLW touring professional angler Jay Yelas and outdoor television producer Joe Thomas.
