Norman,
OK. – For over a decade, fishing fanatics who have wanted to get unbiased print information about bass fishing have turned to the pages of Gary Yamamoto's Inside Line, a bi-monthly publication put out by the noted tackle company but not limited in scope to their products.
But the days of anticipating the arrival of Inside Line in your mailbox are over. From now on, it will be an electronic publication, hosted at
www.insideline.net. The move from paper to computer screen is aimed at providing die-hard anglers with real time information. Instead of waiting two months between issues, the site will be updated weekly, and possibly more frequently if deemed necessary, and will continue to fill a niche not already occupied by any other website or magazine.
“The Inside Line has always been about one thing, the best thing: fishing," said Assistant Editor and Pro-Staff Coordinator Heidi Roth. "Sure we like talking about Yamamoto products but more than that we enjoy talking about fishing in general and how, in my opinion, it makes the world go ‘round! Over the years we’ve brought many great writers on board and they’re not afraid of sharing their thoughts, opinions and know-how of this great sport. We’re excited to be online – we feel that now more than ever we’ll be able to share our love of fishing with an even broader readership.”
The site will include in-depth feature articles, regular columns from Yamamoto pro-staffers, and other industry firsts like Bernie Schultz's peerless "Legends of the Sport" series of interviews. The electronic Inside Line will also have a blog written by BZ staff writer Pete Robbins, entitled "Pete Weighs In."
Inside Line editor and noted raconteur Jerry Puckett, representing "all the die hard
BASS ZONE viewers at Yamamoto Central," urged the BZ faithful "to stop by our place for a visit."
