JIMMY HOUSTON GOES BOOYAH
Tour Veteran Working on Signature Series Spinnerbaits.

Story by Jeff Samsel

Ft. Smith, AR - What do America’s fishing legends exclaim when big bass blast their baits and bend their rods?

“BOOYAH,” of course. Most recently, Jimmy Houston has begun saying it loud and saying it proud, singing his excitement about BOOYAH Bait Company alongside fellow angling icons, Bill Dance and Roland Martin.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to work side by side with two long-time friends to promote and develop the BOOYAH line,” Houston said.

However, working with Dance and Martin is only a small portion of what’s exciting for Houston, who first built his reputation on the tournament trail with a spinnerbait rod in hand and who has always been known as a spinnerbait specialist.

“BOOYAH baits are loaded with features that truly separate them from ordinary spinnerbaits,” Houston said. “The head shape makes them very difficult to hang, even in heavy cover, and the red eyes and gillplates are important for attracting strikes. I’m also really excited about the Leverage hook system that’s part of many of the spinnerbaits and the Boogee Bait. With that single feature, most fishermen will land far more of the fish than they otherwise would.”

Houston is also working with BOOYAH Bait Company to develop a signature series of spinnerbaits, and the baits will include a combination of features that is unlike anything in the marketplace. “From blade configurations to skirt colors to the Leverage hook system, these baits are going to be special,” Houston said

Although the BOOYAH brand association is new for the long-time television show host, Houston’s association with PRADCO-Fishing, the parent company of BOOYAH, goes way, way back. He first teamed up with Rebel Lures, PRADCO’s original brand, more than three decades ago.
