Demopolis, Ala. – Boyd Duckett was the first competitor to win The Bassmaster Classic in his home state. When the season was over was also the first position on the 2007 Bassmaster Elite Series earnings list.
He is also amongst the first at releasing his boat and truck wrap to the world; thanks to e21 Carrot Stix.
“My wrap will feature e21 Carrot Stix rods this year and into the future,” the 2007 Bassmaster Classic Champion told BASS ZONE .com. “I have signed a five year deal with e21 Carrot Stix, and I am really looking forward to displaying the brand on my rig.”

Duckett also told The BASS ZONE that the wrap includes all of his paying sponsors, and that the familiar red and yellow theme of last year would be back, including the red sneakers. “The red and yellow is by design,” Duckett said. “I want this color scheme to be my trademark throughout my career. So many wraps change with the sponsors, and I want things to remain similar so that I can do a better job of branding myself.” |
Duckett said that the announcement coincides with the first shipments of his e21 Carrot Stix signature rods that are due to start shipping to dealers in the next couple of weeks. “The first batches are on the docks as we speak; 15,000 of them to be exact,” Duckett said. “My signature line currently has 11 models, and a 12th in design phase right now, and they are getting here in time for the Classic and the start of the season.”

He said that he built his Boyd Duckett Classic Gold Series around the rods he uses everyday, and that they would be all that any angler would need, but that the Carrot Stix LTX Series consists of 10 additional models that would fill in for specific angler tastes.

“There is a rod for every application, they are all anybody would need to fish and win across the country, of course to be really successful an angler would probably need two or three of each model,” he concluded with a chuckle.
For those interested in meeting a Bassmaster Classic Champion, Duckett said he was packing up and heading to the Kansas City Sports Show at H. Roe Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Mo. this weekend. “I’m looking forward to being there and meeting all of the great people. I hear it is a really good show.”
