Norman, Okla. The opportunity to make a living as a bass angler these days is huge. Whether an angler wishes to focus regionally or to jump up to challenge the top National professionals, there is ample opportunity to compete for a living.

One reason is that many companies have included contingency bonus programs in order to drive sales of a product in the target market of bass anglers. Boat companies are widely known for their contingency plans, as Ranger Cup, Skeeter Reel Money, Triton Gold, Bass Cat Quest, and others have established programs to reward registered owners for high finishes in sanctioned tournaments.
The BASS ZONE has learned that Toyota Trucks, the official truck sponsor of BASS has stepped up for BASS anglers by announcing a new contingency program called Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks.
According to a letter that Elite Series pros received this weekend, a new contingency program will be offered for anglers who own or lease a 2007 or newer Toyota Tundra pickup or Sequoia Sport Utility Vehicle; and the rewards are impressive.

However, the Toyota Trucks Bonus Program is not only for the Elite Series and Open pros, any BASS member can reap the rewards as well. The Bonus Bucks program will include incentive rewards for the Bassmaster Womens Tour, Bassmaster Weekend Series and Federation Nation tournaments.
Toyota Bonus Bucks will also include a matching funds program for registered Federation Nation Anglers who qualify for individual steps of the Federation Nation path to the Bassmaster Classic; including, State Team, Divisional Tournaments, Federation Nation National Championship and of course, the Bassmaster Classic.
In 2008, BASS members can get rewarded for driving the same truck as the Toyota Professional Fishing Team. With Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks, its kind of like your Toyota truck or SUV is paying you to fish.
