Reigning AOY, Mike Iaconelli Will Lead the Field of 50 on the Day One Takeoff

The field is now set for professional bass fishing’s most prestigious event, the 37th Bassmaster Classic, scheduled for Feb. 23-25 on Lay Lake near Birmingham, Ala.

Fifty of the world’s top bass anglers have earned their way into the Bassmaster Classic and will fish for a $500,000 first prize, a piece of the $1.2 million total payout. Most of the anglers qualified for the event based on their stellar performance in the Bassmaster Elite Series’ 2006 season. 		    

Ike will lead the field on day one

On Monday, BASS conducted the boat takeoff position drawing for the 2007 Bassmaster Classic  Below you will find the list of takeoff positions for the 07 Classic.  An interesting fact is that second place finisher in the 2006 Angler of the Year race, Steve Kennedy, ironically drew out boat number two.  Check out the field below.
