CHARGER TEAM TRAIL SET FOR LAKE TEXOMA

Norman, OK – With the boat wakes still visible from the Memorial Day festivities, the Charger Fisherman’s Choice, LLC is in preparation for their fourth tournament of the year to be held on Lake Texoma. Take-off will be at safe light Sunday, June 3rd with a pre-tournament meeting at 6 pm on Saturday at Catfish Bay Marina.

This will be the second of three stops on Lake Texoma for the Charger tournament trial. With just two remaining regular season events, the point’s race for anglers of the year appears to be coming down to the wire. The team of Scroggins and Parkinson remain in first, but less than two points separate the top five teams.

Lake Texoma is still recovering from the heavy boat traffic of last weekend’s holiday fun, but fishing reports show the bass are none the worse for wear. With heavy rains falling throughout the month of May, the current lake level is 621 and rising. The water temps are in the mid to low 70’s with the Red River and Washita arms being extremely muddy. Clear water can be found in the mid-lake region and local fishing reports indicate the bass are moving into their summer routine.

The Charger staff will be on hand at Catfish Bay to help anglers unload and check-in will be held on the water at the Marina. With a minimum guaranteed first place prize of $3,000.00, the Charger Fisherman’s Choice, LLC has paid an average of $4,000.00 for 1st during the last three events. Door prizes, including free entry for the next event, will be drawn for at the conclusion of the weigh-in. For anglers who qualify and fish the Championship, a tournament rigged, Charger Pro Team 296, valued at $37,000.00 will be given away as a door prize.

As always, many if the fine sponsors who support this trail will be on hand to assist anglers and answer all questions. For a complete listing of rules and information regarding the Charger Fisherman’s Choice, LLC, go to http://www.fishermanschoicellc.com/
